Neu-Isenburg, Germany, 12 March 2026 – With the new S Fit 2, Laufenn launches a new sporty tyre that combines reliable performance with efficiency and durability, while also maintaining the high quality standards set by Hankook. The new tyre is the first model from the Laufenn brand to be used as original equipment by European car manufacturers. The Laufenn S Fit 2 is available commercially in a total of 94 sizes ranging from 15 to 20 inches, while the S Fit 2 SUV version is available in sizes from 16 to 20 inches.

The Laufenn S Fit 2 has been developed specifically for the European market and extensively tested to meet the varied conditions in Europe. It delivers stable performance with the grip needed for brisk cornering on hot asphalt, reliable handling in heavy downpours, and a comfortable, smooth ride in city traffic.

Excellent performance in wet conditions

Thanks to the high silica content in the tyre mixture and the convex design of the tread blocks, the S Fit 2 achieves an EU wet grip classification of A – the top category – in almost 90 percent of sizes. This results in 16 percent shorter braking distances compared to the previous model. Four generously sized linear grooves enable optimum evacuation of water. Direct comparison shows a ten per cent improvement for wet handling, contributing to greater lateral and directional stability when cornering at high speeds.

Efficiency and high mileage combined

With a rolling resistance rating of B-C, the Laufenn S Fit 2 also delivers exemplary fuel efficiency. Thanks to a new polymer generation, the summer tyre achieves a 15 per cent increase in mileage compared to the predecessor, which means lower tyre costs over the car‘s lifetime. The optimised tread design minimises vibrations and noise level for a quieter driving experience.

Another advantage of the new Laufenn S Fit 2 is its high level of comfort, thanks to its low noise levels. Combined with its low weight and high load capacity, the summer tyre is suitable for use on a variety of vehicle types. In the future, Laufenn tyres suitable for plug‑in hybrids and electric vehicles will bear a special EV marking on the side wall. This strategic feature of the second product generation can also be found on the S Fit 2.
