Neu-Isenburg, Germany, 15 September 2015 - Today, premium tyre maker Hankook Tire announced the launch of its new tyre brand Laufenn on the European market. The announcement was made during the company’s press conference at the 66th International Motor Show (Internationale Automobil Ausstellung - IAA) which is currently underway in Frankfurt, Germany, where the Laufenn product line and brand strategy were also unveiled.

The Laufenn brand offers a wide range of quality products to meet a variety of driving conditions to consumers seeking value, quality and style. The new brand shall represent both a symbolic and tangible point of Hankook’s vision for growth in the global automotive market.
The new line-up of Laufenn products were developed especially for European market needs with Hankook’s European Technical Centre (ETC) in Hanover playing a vital role in development. The tyre line-up will be amongst others manufactured at the company’s high-tech production facility in Hungary, which is one of the most modern in the world, specialising in the production of Hankook premium passenger car, SUV and LTR tyres for the European market.

Laufenn aims to serve smart and price-conscious consumers with a well-rounded range of quality products, which fit a variety of lifestyle needs through timely tyre performance upgrades and enhancements. Laufenn tyres will initially be offered in five product line-ups: S FIT EQ (passenger car summer tyres for the performance segment from 15 to 19 inch), G FIT EQ (passenger car summer tyres for the touring segment from 13 to 17 inch), X FIT VAN (Summer tyres for the SUV/Van segment from 14 to 16 inch), i FIT (studdless passenger car/SUV winter tyres for western and central European markets from 13 to 18 inch) and the i FIT ICE (studdable passenger car/SUV winter tyres for Scandinavia/Russia from 13 to 18 inch).
